Non Surgical Nose Job Before Rhinoplasty?
I am planning to have nose job next year because I can't afford it now. Can I have a non surgical nose job before true rhinoplasty surgery, or will a non surgical nose job prevent me from being able to have a rhinoplasty next year?

You really need to be seen to best evaluate this.
I cant tell without a good lateral photo of you. Mostly, non surgical rhinoplasties involve injecting a filler ( Radiesse, Juviderm or Restolin) to fill a dent or other depression. This is not permanent and should go away. These treatments are not cheap. So my advice is to save the money and go to a well qualified , board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation first. Afsi, I am assuming that you mean soft tissue fillers like Restylane, Radiesse, or Juvederm when you speak of a non-surgical nose job. Non-surgical will not prevent surgical rhinoplasty, but may affect procedure planning and your result if the injected product is still present at time of consultation. If procedure is planned and performed with filler still in place, then filler dissipates months after the rhinoplasty, this will obviously affect your outcome. Non-surgical rhinoplasty before a real one?
Judging by your photo, your nasal profile is straight, and doesn't have an obvious "bump" (dorsal hump). There is really nothing that filler injection (the non-surgical rhinoplasty) would be able to offer you as an improvement. Your nose is a little long, and some tip rotation at the time of surgery would be a key part of improving the appearance. My advice: wait for the real thing.

Wait until next year for your surgery
Not everyone is a candidate for non-surgical nose job, so you need to get evaluated by an expert in surgical and nonsurgical rhinoplasty so they can determine what is best for you. Sometimes it is better NOT to have anything done (ie putting fillers into your nose that may or may not improve the aesthetics). If you are planning to have a rhinoplasty next year I would hold off putting anything in your nose until that time, as fillers can remain in your nose for a long period... more

No substitute for surgery
'Non-surgical rhinoplasty' is a misnomer, period. There is no substitute for rhinoplasty that involves fillers. If you are considering a rhinoplasty in the future, do not let anyone inject fillers into your nose. This can distort the nasal soft tissues and make the surgery much more difficult. Additionally, you may be at a higher risk for complications. My advice to you is to wait until you have the surgery. You will be happy you did.

Temporary rhinoplasty before a surgical rhinoplasty.
Sure it can be done. But looking at your picture I'm not sure you need it. However your examining surgeon is better situated to make the call. Its best and safest to stage the two such that the tissue filler has completely absorbed before surgery. It will allow for more exact surgery by no longer distorting the tissues.
Fillers alternative
Fillers can be considered to address mild deformities (particularly mild depressions or asymmetries). It is best to use a hyaluronic product (ie. Restylane, Juvederm, etc) rather than a filler that lasts very long (ie Radiesse), especially since you are planning on a formal rhinoplasty in the near future. It is best to have your nose evaluated by a surgeon because the best option may likely be simply pursue surgery when you're ready because fillers may not be the answer for your concerns.... more

Don't use fillers for non-surgical rhinoplasty if definitely planning surgery in near future
Given the appearance of your nose, it is not likely that a nonsurgical nose job can really achieve any significant change in your nose. Depending on what you want to achieve, fillers may be an option but as the other physicians have suggested, I would recommend hyaluronic agents i.e., restylane or juvederm and NOT radiesse if you are contemplating a surgical rhinoplasty. The hyaluronic acid can be enzymatically removed prior to surgery.

Non-surgical nose job before Rhinoplasty not advisable
I am assuming a non-surgical nose job you are referring to is Radiesse or another filler. It probably is not a good idea to do this before a formal rhinoplasty. The reason being is that some ofthe product may still be present in your nose before your surgery. This will: 1) distort the appearance of your nose resulting in a poor analysis of the problem; and 2) possibly impact the final result of the surgery especially if product has to be removed during the surgery.

Hi Afsi, This is a great question that we get in our practice a fair bit and that we have looked into. In fact, we in assocaition with our colleagues reviewed the largest series of injectible rhinoplasties done by anyone to date. I don't want to make this a long diatribe about the merits of injectible rhinoplasty and if the aesthetics make a lot of sense, except to say that you should recognize that most people getting rhinoplasty want their nose at least slightly smaller whereas injectible... more
Injections will not prevent you from having surgery but you should probably wait several months.
Most non-surgical rhinoplasties involve injections of dermal fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane to correct minor imbalances. Every nose can not be improved in this fashion and it requires careful assessment. I would get opinion from an expert in surgical rhinoplasty before considering non-surgical correction.
Filler in the Nose, or the So-Called "Non-Surgical Nose Job"
Hi Afsi, Your picture looks great. What are your nose concerns? The placement of temporary filler in your nose will likely be gone a year from now. I would advise you to leave it alone until you have your surgery. If your nose is bothering you so much that you just have to do something, you should find your rhinoplastic surgeon first. Yes you can if you use a filler that lasts only one year.
If you are sure that you will not have surgery for at least 1 year, then you can use a filler such as Juviderm. Radiesse lasts up to 1 and a half years.

Filler might affect the outcome of later surgery
At this time, it is uncertain whether injection of fillers will lead to problems with later surgery. Some doctors have reported seeing residual material and scarring with later surgery. The idea of a non-surgical nose job is the idea of filling thenose with radiesse - afiller which lasts up to a year. The filler would camouflage the imperfections in the nose. The filler should be gone within the year and then you could have a rhinoplasty without limitations.
